On June 30, at the SSIP headquarters in Pozzuoli, something happened that deserves more attention than it received. The Italian Leather Research Summit 2026 convened the key players in Italy’s leather innovation ecosystem — and they didn’t just talk. They signed a pact.
The Regional Skills Partnership for Leather, signed during the summit by UNIC general director Fulvia Bacchi, Assocalzaturifici president Giovanna Ceolini, SSIP general director Edoardo Imperiale, AIP director Elena Salvaneschi, and Time Vision director Andrea Ricciardiello, represents a formal commitment to building a skills ecosystem for the leather supply chain.
