Prada Group Posts Resilient Nine-Month Growth as Americas Surges 33%
Prada Group has delivered a quietly reassuring set of nine-month results, growing net revenue to 4.07 billion euros, up 15% at constant currency and 4% on an organic basis, against a luxury backdrop its own chief executive described as “particularly challenging.” The headline resilience, however, hides a sharply uneven map — and a bet on the Americas that is paying off just as other regions stall.
Andrea Guerra, Group Chief Executive Officer, framed the quarter with characteristic restraint. “The third quarter unfolded against a particularly challenging industry backdrop. In this context, the Group showed good resilience, underpinned by brand desirability and strong retail execution,” he said. The third quarter alone lifted net revenue 11% at constant currency, or 1% organically, a deceleration from earlier momentum but still positive in a sector where flat is the new winning.
Retail, the group’s dominant channel, generated 3.93 billion euros over the nine months, up 11% at constant currency and 2% organically. The brand architecture is doing the heavy lifting. The Prada brand itself rose 2% over nine months and 1% in the third quarter, supported by the Americas and Asia-Pacific, including China, while Europe and Japan held steady. Miu Miu grew 1% across the period but slipped 3% in the third quarter, a reflection of demanding prior-year comparisons and a less favourable geographic mix; strip out the Middle East and it was stable. Versace, the turnaround project, contributed 441 million euros and is “advancing on its strategic priorities,” with management focused on a new creative debut planned for 2027.
Geography is where the story gets interesting. The Americas leapt 33% at constant currency and 13% organically over nine months — a standout that offsets softness elsewhere and suggests Prada’s US repositioning is landing. Asia-Pacific reached 1.22 billion euros, up 12% at constant currency and 5% organically, with South Korea, Hong Kong and Macau carrying the region while mainland China traffic stayed subdued. Europe managed 1.14 billion euros, up 5% at constant currency but down 3% organically. Japan rose 5% constant and 2% organic. The Middle East fell 23% on both measures, though it improved quarter-on-quarter on local consumption.
For the wider leather and luxury supply chain, Prada’s results are a useful barometer. A 4% organic group gain, powered by leather goods and a resurgent Americas, shows that premium product can still grow when brand desirability and retail execution line up — the same lesson Hermès is demonstrating at the top of the market. The flip side is that growth is concentrated: absent the Americas, the picture is far patchier, and a 23% Middle East decline is a reminder of how fragile regional demand has become.
Prada’s ability to keep all three pillars — Prada, Miu Miu and a stabilizing Versace — moving in the same direction will define the next year. With Versace’s creative reset still ahead and the Americas firing, the group enters 2027 with momentum that most of its peers would envy, even if the path is no longer uniformly upward.
The result also underscores a broader truth about luxury in 2026: growth is no longer a tide that lifts every brand. Where Hermès grows on leather desirability and Prada leans on the Americas, others are contracting, and the divergence is widening. For suppliers and tanneries serving the premium segment, that means demand is increasingly concentrated in the hands of a few winners, raising the strategic stakes of every brand partnership. Prada’s ability to keep all three pillars moving is what separates it from peers still searching for momentum.
For now, the group’s momentum is real even if it is no longer uniform, and the holiday quarter will show whether the Americas surge can carry the slower regions.
